2. General information about data processing
Protecting your personal data is important to us. In this privacy policy we inform you about how personal data is processed when you use our website.
Personal data means any data that can be related to you personally — e.g. name, address, email address, user behavior. We generally only process personal data to the extent necessary to provide a functional website and our content and services.
3. Collection and storage of personal data, type and purpose of use
a) When visiting the website
When you visit our website, the browser used on your device automatically sends information to our website's server. This information is temporarily stored in a so-called log file. The following information is collected without your input and stored until automated deletion:
- IP address of the requesting computer
- Date and time of access
- Name and URL of the requested file
- Website from which access is made (referrer URL)
- Browser used and, if applicable, the operating system of your computer and the name of your access provider
We process this data for the following purposes:
- Ensuring smooth connection setup of the website
- Ensuring comfortable use of our website
- Evaluation of system security and stability
- Other administrative purposes
The legal basis for the data processing is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. Our legitimate interest follows from the purposes listed above. We never use the data collected to draw conclusions about you personally.
b) When using our contact form
For questions of any kind, we offer you the option of contacting us via a form provided on the website. A valid email address is required so we know who the inquiry is from and can respond. Further information can be provided voluntarily.
The data processing for the purpose of contacting us is based on Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR on the basis of your voluntarily granted consent. The personal data collected by us for the use of the contact form is automatically deleted after your inquiry has been resolved.
4. Cookies
We use cookies on our website. These are small files that your browser automatically creates and that are stored on your end device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc.) when you visit our site.
The cookie stores information related to the specific device used. However, this does not mean that we directly receive knowledge of your identity.
The use of cookies serves on the one hand to make our offering more pleasant for you. We use so-called session cookies to recognize that you have already visited individual pages of our website. These are automatically deleted after you leave our site.
In addition, we also use temporary cookies to optimize user-friendliness. These are stored on your end device for a specific defined period. If you visit our site again to use our services, the cookie automatically recognizes that you have already been with us and which entries and settings you have made, so that you don't have to enter them again.
The user data collected by technically necessary cookies is not used to create user profiles. The legal basis for the use of technically necessary cookies is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. f GDPR. For non-essential cookies we obtain your consent per Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR.
Consent management. On your first visit we ask, via a notice, whether you want to allow cookies for statistics and marketing. Until you agree, only technically necessary cookies are set — analytics and marketing services are not loaded and no data is transmitted to third parties. Your decision is stored locally in your browser. You can change or withdraw it at any time with future effect via the “Cookie settings” link in the footer of every page.
5. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics on our website, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (hereinafter: "Google").
Google Analytics uses cookies that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.
We have activated IP anonymization on this website. As a result, Google will truncate your IP address within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area beforehand. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there.
On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities, and to provide other services related to website usage and internet usage to the website operator.
Google Analytics is only activated with your express consent. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time.
You can prevent the storage of cookies by setting your browser software accordingly; however, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all functions of this website to their full extent.
6. Google Ads remarketing
We use the remarketing function of Google Ads. Using the remarketing function, we can present users of our website with interest-based advertisements on other websites within the Google advertising network (in Google Search, on YouTube, on so-called "Google Display Network" sites, or on other websites).
For this purpose the interaction of users on our website is analyzed (e.g. which offers the user has viewed) in order to be able to display targeted advertising on other sites even after visiting our website. The data collected by Google in the process is not combined with your personal data.
Google Ads remarketing is only activated with your express consent. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit. a GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time. For more information and the data protection regulations, see Google's privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
7. Meta Pixel (Facebook Pixel)
This website uses the visitor action pixel of Meta Platforms Ireland Limited, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Meta”). It allows us to follow how visitors behave on our website after reaching it via a Meta advertisement (Facebook, Instagram), so that we can evaluate how effective our ads are and record this for statistical and market-research purposes.
The data collected is anonymous to us; we cannot draw conclusions about the identity of individual people. The data is stored and processed by Meta, may be linked to the respective user profile and may be used by Meta for its own advertising purposes. A transfer of data to the USA cannot be ruled out.
The Meta Pixel is loaded only after your explicit consent. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG (formerly TTDSG). Until you have consented, the pixel is not executed and no data is transmitted to Meta. You can withdraw your consent at any time with future effect via the cookie settings in the footer of every page.
For more information on how Meta processes data, see Meta's privacy policy at: https://www.facebook.com/privacy/policy.
